Baluch rugs are hand-knotted by the Baluch nomads in the border region of Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Characterized by deep reds and earthy brown tones, as well as intricate patterns with symbolic meaning, these rugs are traditionally woven from sheep’s wool with a knot density of up to 250,000 knots per square meter.
